SEO Services for Service Businesses

We get your business in front of people who are already searching for what you do, and we track every enquiry that follows so you can see what the work is worth.

Search that brings enquiries, not only visits

Most service businesses do not need more traffic. They need the right people to find the right page at the moment they are ready to call. A solicitor needs someone searching for help with probate. A heating engineer needs the homeowner whose boiler failed this morning. A cleaning contractor needs the facilities manager comparing quotes.

Our SEO service is built around that idea. We start with what your customers type into Google, work out which of those searches you can realistically win, and then fix, write and build whatever stands between your site and the first page. Every decision is based on live data from your own Search Console and analytics, checked against what competitors are doing.

We also believe SEO should be easy to judge. You will always know what we worked on this month, what it was meant to achieve and whether it did. If something is not working, we say so and change the plan.

What our SEO service includes

Every engagement covers six areas. How much time goes into each depends on what your site needs most.

SEO strategy
A written plan that sets out where you rank today, which keywords are worth pursuing, who you are competing with and what we will do in each of the next three months. You approve it before any work begins.
Technical SEO
We crawl the whole site and check how Google indexes it. Broken links, redirect chains, pages wrongly hidden from search, slow templates and leftovers from old website builds are found and fixed, or handed to your developer with clear instructions.
Content planning and briefs
Each topic gets one cornerstone guide and a set of supporting articles that link back to it and to the service page it supports. Writers receive a brief with the title, target keywords, word count and the questions the page must answer.
On-page optimisation
Title tags, meta descriptions, headings and internal links are rewritten so that each page targets one clear search and passes authority to the pages that earn you money.
Local SEO
Location pages are grouped by real geography, so each one makes sense to the people who live and work there. We keep your Google Business Profile active and make sure your name, address and phone number match everywhere they appear.
Tracking and reporting
Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager are set up to record form submissions, phone clicks and other real enquiries. You get a monthly report in plain English that shows what changed, why it changed and what happens next.

How we work

Four stages, in this order.

Audit
We request access to your website, Search Console, analytics and Google Business Profile. You keep ownership of every account and we never ask for passwords. Within the first two weeks you receive a full audit covering the technical health of the site, its content and its rankings.
Plan
The audit becomes a strategy and a content calendar. We agree priorities with you, starting with the fixes and pages most likely to bring enquiries soonest.
Build
We carry out the technical fixes, optimise existing pages and commission or write new content. If you are moving to a new website, we work with your developers so it is ready to rank on the day it launches.
Report and refine
Each month we compare results against the plan, explain any movement in rankings or traffic, and adjust the work for the following month. If tracking changes, you hear about it before the numbers move.

What you receive each month

Nothing is hidden behind a dashboard. Every month you get the following from us.

A report covering rankings, organic traffic and enquiries
A summary of the work completed and why it was done
Content briefs or drafts for the month ahead
A list of technical fixes made and those still open
A call to go through it all together

What an audit finds

224 URLs, each one checked

On one service business site we inspected every address that had appeared in Google over six months. Four in five were healthy. The remaining 40 became a fix list: old pages that needed redirecting, service pages accidentally hidden from search and test pages that should never have been public. None of it was visible from the front of the website.

Ready for AI search

More searches now end with an AI-written answer at the top of the page. We structure your content so those systems can quote it: a direct answer in the opening lines, clear headings that match real questions, and structured data behind the page. The same habits also help you win featured snippets in ordinary results.

Who we work with

Our experience is with service businesses in the UK, the US and South Africa, where one good enquiry is worth more than a thousand casual visits.

Solicitors and legal services
Plumbing, heating and cooling
Commercial and industrial cleaning
Property management and venues
Healthcare and therapy providers
Consultancy and professional services
E-commerce and retail

Pricing that fits your website

We do not have a one-size-fits-all engagement. A ten-page website for a local firm and a site with hundreds of service, location and blog pages need very different amounts of work, so they should not cost the same.

Pricing is discussed with you and based on how big your website is. We look at the number of pages, the services and locations it covers and how much content it carries, then send you a quote that sets out the work and the fee.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost?

It depends on how big your website is. We do not sell fixed packages. Book a call, we will look at your site with you and then send a quote based on its size.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Technical fixes can lift rankings within a few weeks. New content usually takes three to six months to settle, depending on how competitive your market is. We set expectations in the strategy and report against them every month.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Google decides the rankings. What we commit to is a clear plan, work delivered on schedule and honest reporting on what it achieved.

Will you need access to our website?

Yes. We ask for delegated access to your site, Search Console, analytics and Google Business Profile. The accounts stay in your name, and you can remove our access at any time.

We are about to launch a new website. Should we wait?

No. This is the best time to start. We can prepare the content and redirects while the new site is being built, so you keep the rankings you have and launch with pages that are ready to compete.

Can you manage SEO and paid search together?

Yes. Paid search brings enquiries while organic rankings build, and the search terms that convert in your ads tell us which keywords deserve content. Running both from one plan avoids paying for clicks you could earn for free.

What do you need from us?

A named contact, access to the accounts above and about an hour a month for a review call. If you have in-house writers or a developer, we will work with them. If not, we can cover both.
